The Purpose of The Alliance is:
To provide ongoing support to women in the coaching profession through career development programs as well as to increase the number of women coaches at all levels in all sports.
We aim to be a strong advocate for equal opportunities for all women in athletics regardless of age, race, color, disability, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, creed or religion.

Membership Benefits
- A network and support system for women coaches from all sports at all levels, including college, high school and club programs. This network is designed to support women coaches at various phases of their careers; Head coaches, assistant coaches, students and others exploring how to become a coach.
- Access to Alliance educational programs, resources and initiatives with unique emphasis on coaching skills beyond the x’s and o’s.
- The opportunity to stay connected, informed and inspired with access to Alliance website that provides inspirational videos, coaching ideas, articles and news shared by Alliance members.

- Discounted registrations to the Alliance Regional Seminars, National Convention and all Alliance professional development programs. The Alliance programs provide the unique opportunity to network and share ideas with women coaches from ALL sports, divisions and levels.

- National Awards and recognition that are based on character attributes beyond win-loss records.
Goals for The Alliance of Women Coaches
- Provide a network and support system for women coaches via positive role models and mentoring initiatives.
- Inspire, support, and motivate women coaches to stay in the coaching profession through regional and national educational programs and networking opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies to assist women coaches in their professional advancement.
- Provide a respected forum for a united voice for women coaches to address coaching/athletics issues on a national level.
- Be a resource for female candidates in the coaching job market and those seeking to hire coaches.
- Be strong advocates for gender equity and inclusion.
- Promote a high standard of excellence in the coaching profession by developing a strong code of ethics for the membership.
- Increase diversity and the number of women in the coaching profession.
- Develop a system of recognition and awards that are based on character attributes beyond win-loss records.
- Collaborate with other coaches associations to best meet the overall needs of women coaches.
- Encourage female students to consider coaching as a profession through career development programs and networking opportunities.
- To ensure the implementation of basic core values into the behavior of coaches & student-athletes.

For the First Time Ever! -- Because of the overwhelming demand and subsequent wait list to attend the NCAA Women Coaches Academy (WCA), we are opening Dimension 2 training to ALL female coaches!

So tell your friends in coaching, bring your whole staff!
June 20, 21 and 22, 2011
Program begins 2pm on Monday the 20th
Program ends at 3pm on Wednesday the 22nd.

Registration fees:
NCAA WCA Graduate $250
NCAA Coach NOT a WCA Graduate $275
All others $300
(NAIA, High School, two year colleges etc.)
Registration fees include all meals, snacks and participant materials.
You are responsible for transportation to site and hotel expenses. (Hotel rate: $125/night for single room and $65/night for a double room-includes tax -- Free shuttle from airport!)
